Chiropractic Self Development: 15 Things to Give Up
Everyone wants to increase their happiness, become more attractive and most of the time they are looking for something to do. Sometimes it’s not in the doing but in what you need to give up.
My last blog talked about simplicity and creating a vacuum or void for more good things to show up. Think about this exercise like it’s creating a vacuum in your mind.
Give Up the Need to Be Right
You don’t always need to be right sometimes it’s better to be kind.
Give Up Control
Not everything is within your control and that’s okay. Start focusing only on the high value items whether it’s your family, your adjustment, etc… No one likes a micro-manager and not everyone is going to do things perfectly but done is better than done perfect. Give other people a chance to prove themselves, learn and make mistakes, it’s the only way we all grow.
Stop Blaming Everyone Else or Everything Else
Start taking massive accountability for everything in your life.
Stop Self-Defeating Self Talk
Some of us learned this from our mother, brother, teacher, preacher but we need to stop talking to ourselves in a negative way. You don’t need to believe everything your mind tells you.
Let Go of Limiting Beliefs
Limiting beliefs tell you that you, your business, your financial success will only go so far and it’s just not true! The sky is limit and you need to believe that instead.
Stop Complaining
Stop complaining about everything, instead try to find the good in everything. Practice gratitude in every situation and you will see massive transformations taking place.
Stop Criticizing Everything and Everyone
There is enough criticism in the world, and you don’t need to have an opinion about everything and everyone. Stop the negative reel in your mind that tries to find the fault in everything.
Drop the Need to Impress Others
Focus on liking yourself and being truly happy with who you are and where you’re at in life. It doesn’t matter what other people think of you or your decisions.
Let Go of the Resistance to Change
Change is good and it’s time to embrace change. How can you expect things to get better if you are resistant to the change that would be necessary for it to happen?
Let Go of Labels
Drop labels on yourself, your family, your business and just let it be. When you stop labeling the world as good or bad you can truly start to live in the moment.
Let Go of Your Fears
Fears are not real! These are made up in your mind and they have no basis. False evidence appearing real! Your mind creates fears to keep you small but 99% of the time they never happen and the ones that do happen, you live through.
Drop Your Excuses
Let your excuses go and again take massive accountability for everything that happens in your life. Whether you like it or not, you brought about your experiences and as soon as you own it, you can start making different decisions.
Let Go of the Past
The past is the past and it should stay there. When you think about the past whether it’s good or bad, you are not truly living in the present moment. Living in the now allows you feel the experiences that are happening more deeply.
Drop Your Attachment- To Everything!
This is a hard one for a lot of people, but it can make a big difference in your life. When you love your house and love living in it but do not have attachment then you are saying “thank you for this awesome house but if one day it’s not here then I know something better is coming my way”. You are allowing yourself to be open to new experiences.
Stop Living your Life for Others’ Expectations
No one else is going to live your live, just you. This means that you need to make decisions that are for YOU! You can get great advice from other people and can learn from others but at the end of the day you must live your life and it needs to be what you want.
