Planning Increases Productivity
They say that 1 minute of planning is equal to 10 min of execution. That means that if you take 10 minutes in the morning to plan your day then you will save 100 minutes of execution. That’s almost 2 hours!
How do you plan?
You make a master list. Your master list has everything you need to do on it. From there you subdivide your master list into monthly, weekly, and daily lists. Each night you move items onto your daily list for the next day.
Next, think through all the activities you have on your list. How are you going to accomplish these tasks? What tools or skills will you need? How much time will it take? How much will it cost? Once you have it mapped down, you are ready to shut off your brain and get a great night’s sleep.
Remember to write everything down. In this digital age we want to use our smart phones and tablets for all our planning and mapping. These are great tools, but it helps your brain to write it down using pen and paper. There is a connection between the kinesthetic of writing and the processing centers in the brain.
Why should you do this? Because on some level we all get paid based on what we do, how well we do it and doing what only we can do. So, if you are organized and planning your day in advance then you will be able to do more at a higher level which will lead to increasing your net worth.
You will be producing a high quantity at a higher quality. There are no traffic jams when you go the extra mile, so keep a positive attitude to increase your energy to increase your outcomes.
It’s green lights and blue skies for you.
