The Four D’s
There are basic laws that govern life and success. These laws enable you to be more successful and the best part is that they are not complicated or hard to understand. In fact, they are easy to apply.
Once you learn the 4 D’s, you can make them your own and apply them to your life.
- Desire
You must really want your goal. You must be willing to make the effort to make these time management habits happen until they become automatic.
Decide today what you want in all areas of your life. Write out your goals for the year ahead. You must dream big and pick goals that excite and inspire you.
Create a definite written plan of how you will accomplish these goals complete with deadlines and set activities that you would have to accomplish to make your goals a reality.
- Decision
Make the decision that you will do it, no matter how long it takes. The only limits that you have are the ones you put upon yourself. You are living in the golden age of opportunity, and you can achieve anything that you put your mind to. You are more capable than you have ever thought possible. You only need to make the decision that you will accomplish your goals.
Decide to become action oriented. Most people are mentally vacationing, with the mentality that they will do it ‘someday’. Someday will never come if you don’t have a vision, a plan, and take action.
Be the person who has a sense of urgency to create the life of their dreams.
- Discipline
Once you’ve made the decision to go after your goals, you must have the discipline to execute your plan every day.
Do what you can with what you have. The faster you move the more lessons you learn, the quicker you fail forward, the more connections you make, the more competent you become.
- Determination
Set a goal for yourself to have the determination necessary to let nothing stand in your way this year.
Be determined to overcome all setbacks, temporary failures, and perceived failures.
This determination measures the belief that you have in yourself.
Remember its green lights and blue skies if you want it bad enough.
